Outdoor living

The right privacy in the right places.

A two-storey neighbour with a view straight into your backyard. A pool that’s overlooked from the street. A spa that’s a step away from the dining room window. A side garden that’s become the bin storage area. All real problems, none of which want to be solved by a six-foot timber fence that turns the yard into a paddock.

For more than 35 years we’ve been designing and installing outdoor solutions for Central Coast families. We design privacy screens to suit the space, the home and the problem. Not over-engineered. Not under-built. Just the right amount of screening, in the right place, finished to match the rest of the build.

Every screen is custom-designed and installed by our own team.

“Highly recommend 5 stars is not enough. Very professional from start to finish and they delivered on everything they promised.”

What Screens Can Do

Built to block what matters. Not the whole yard.

Privacy screens are surprisingly versatile. Most projects we install are doing one or more of these:

Boundary Privacy
Blocking sight lines from neighbours, balconies, or two-storey builds without resorting to a full solid fence.

Pool & Spa Surrounds
Adding privacy and a stylish surround to pool fencing or spa enclosures without darkening the space.

Bin and Equipment Concealment
Hiding bins, air-con units, pool pumps and other utility eyesores from the main entertaining areas.

Patio and Deck Edging
Adding side-on privacy to a patio or deck where you want to feel enclosed but still let air and light through.

Garden Features
Working as a design feature in their own right. A run of vertical slats can frame a garden, define a zone or break up a long wall.

Built to last

Three materials. We'll help you pick.

Aluminium

The modern, low-maintenance option. Powder-coated aluminium slats in a wide range of standard and architectural colours, including wood-grain finishes that look like timber from a few metres away.

What you’ll love:

  • Won’t rust, warp or rot, suited to coastal conditions
  • A wash with mild soapy water once or twice a year is the only maintenance
  • Wide colour range, including wood-grain options
  • Long lifespan, holds its finish for decades

Timber

The natural, warm option. Real hardwood timber screening with the grain, character and warmth that synthetics can't match. Suits gardens, traditional homes and anywhere you want the screen to feel like part of the landscape.

What you’ll love:

  • Genuine timber look and feel
  • Warm, natural aesthetic that ages with character
  • Each board is unique
  • Can be stained or oiled in different finishes

Composite

The middle ground. Made from recycled timber fibre and plastic, composite gives you the look of timber without the upkeep. It won't grey, splinter or rot, and needs almost no maintenance.

What you’ll love:

  • Looks like timber, performs like aluminium
  • Virtually maintenance-free
  • Won’t splinter, warp or crack
  • Consistent colour across boards
  • Termite and rot-proof

The detail that finishes the build

The screen you barely notice. Until you remember why it's there.

Good privacy screening doesn’t draw attention to itself. The neighbour’s window stops being in your eyeline. The pool feels separate from the side path. The bins disappear. You stop thinking about the things you didn’t want to see, and start using the space the way you imagined it.

Designed as one project

Screens work best when they're part of the bigger picture.

We design and install screens as standalone projects, but they always look better when planned alongside a new patio, deck or pergola. Posts placed for screening, materials matched to the structure, heights designed to the rest of the build. If you’re planning a new outdoor project, mention the privacy concerns at the consultation and we’ll design the screening in from the start.

Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks.

How much do privacy screens cost on the Central Coast?

Pricing varies based on the material, size, height, slat spacing, colour finish and complexity of the install. Aluminium and composite tend to sit at a higher upfront price than timber, but require less maintenance over time. Interest-free finance is available to make the cost more manageable. Every project starts with a free on-site consultation and a fixed-fee quote, so you’ll know exactly what your screens cost before any work begins. Call us on 0490 094 020 to book in.

Aluminium is the easiest answer because it shrugs off salt-air, humidity and UV without any maintenance. Timber and composite both perform well too, but timber needs regular sealing to protect against the elements. We’ll talk through which works for your specific block during the consultation.

A privacy fence is typically full-height, solid and continuous along a boundary. A privacy screen is more targeted: it solves a specific sight-line problem without enclosing the whole space. Screens also let light and air through, so they don’t darken the garden or trap heat the way a solid fence can.

Both work, and the choice is mostly aesthetic. Horizontal slats give a contemporary, low-slung feel and tend to suit modern homes. Vertical slats add height visually and suit traditional or garden-feature applications. We’ll talk through which works better in your space.

Yes. Slat spacing is adjustable during the design phase. Tighter spacing gives more privacy and less light. Wider spacing lets more breeze and light through. Different sections of the same screen can have different spacing if you need privacy in some places and openness in others.

Depends on the size, material and complexity. Small projects can be installed in a day. Larger or more complex projects can take a week. We’ll give you a clear timeline with your fixed quote.

Often yes. We’ll assess your existing structure during the consultation. Most additions are straightforward.
