Year-round outdoor living

The summer breeze without the afternoon sun. The autumn dinner without the wind.

A patio or pergola is great for nine months of the year. Blinds are how you make it ten, eleven, twelve. They handle the harsh western sun in February, the chilly southerly in May, the mozzies in March, and the surprise downpour in September. Roll them up and the view is back. Roll them down and the room is enclosed.

For more than 35 years we’ve been designing and installing outdoor solutions for Central Coast families. We’re an authorised Stratco Ambient dealer, which means we install Stratco’s full Ambient range with the design support and warranty that comes with it.

Every blind is custom-made to your space, matched to your home, and installed by our own team.

The Stratco Ambient range

Three styles. One that's right for your space.

Regent

Fully Restrained, Zip-Track
The premium option. The blind runs in custom-fitted aluminium side tracks, with a zip welded to the edges of the fabric that runs invisibly inside the track. The result is the tightest seal, the cleanest look, and the best protection against wind, rain and bugs. Suits homeowners who want their outdoor space to feel like a proper room when the blinds are down.

Windsor

Wire-Guided, Semi-Restrained
TThe relaxed option. The blind runs on marine-grade stainless steel wire guides rather than tracks, which lets more breeze through and tolerates blustery coastal weather. Cleaner look, less restrictive feel.

Best for: design-led homes, softening modern lines, statement outdoor spaces

The detail

Designed to match the home, not stand out from it.

Once you’ve chosen the style, the rest of the blind is built around your home and how you’ll use the space.

Operation
Three ways to operate the blinds, all compatible with every style:

  • Spring-assisted manual. A pre-tensioned spring inside the mechanism makes the blind almost effortless to raise and lower by hand.
  • Crank-driven manual. A hand-held winder available in 1m, 1.5m or 2m lengths. Suits very tall or wide blinds.
  • Motorised. Switch or remote control. The premium option. A single remote can operate up to 15 separate blinds.

Fabric
12 colour options, from dark greys for glare reduction through to clean creams and natural tones. The fabric is tear-resistant, PVC-coated polyester. UV-tolerant, mould-resistant, mildew-resistant.

Frames

Six standard powder-coated frame colours: Alpine, Sand Dune, Desert, Storm, Thunder, Deep Space. Custom colours available on request.

Headbox
A choice between a fully enclosed headbox (the retracted blind is hidden inside a neat aluminium box) or an open style (the rolled blind sits visible). Both work with all styles, fabrics and operation methods.

A small upgrade, a big difference

Same patio. Different room. Same patio. Different room again.

Blinds change everything. Up at lunch for the sea breeze. Halfway down at 3pm for the western sun. Fully closed at 7pm when the wind comes off the water. The same patio behaves like four different spaces depending on what you need it to do. We build the structure. The blinds make it usable, every day, all year.

Built as one project

Blinds work best when they're planned in from the start.

We install blinds on existing patios and pergolas, but they always work best when designed in from the start. Posts placed for fabric drops, headboxes integrated into the eave line, motors and wiring concealed during the build. If you’re planning a new patio or pergola, mention blinds in the consultation and we’ll build the structure around them.

Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks.

How much do Stratco Ambient blinds cost on the Central Coast?

Pricing varies based on the style (Regent, Chelsea or Windsor), size, fabric, frame, operation method and number of blinds. Interest-free finance is available to make the cost more manageable. Every project starts with a free on-site consultation and a fixed-fee quote, so you’ll know exactly what your blinds cost before any work begins. Call us on 0490 094 020 to book in

Largely, yes. Regent (fully restrained, zip-tracked) offers the best rain protection because there’s no gap between fabric and frame. Windsor lets more breeze through and offers less rain resistance. None of the blinds are designed to be fully waterproof, so they should be retracted during extreme storms. We’ll explain the limits during your consultation.

Yes, particularly Regent which seals the perimeter. For mozzies and flies, the fully restrained styles work best. Windsor will reduce them but won’t eliminate them.

Both. You can choose spring-assisted manual, crank-driven manual, or motorised. Motorised is the easiest day-to-day, especially for larger blinds or multiple blinds across one space. A single remote can control up to 15 blinds.

Start times vary depending on the time of year and our current build schedule. Send an enquiry or give us a call and we’ll let you know our earliest available start date.

Stratco recommends a maximum of 12m² per blind, with a maximum width of 5m and a maximum drop of 4m. For larger spans, multiple blinds can be installed side by side and operated together.
