Louvre Roof Pergolas
One roof for every kind of day on the Coast.
A fixed roof is a compromise. Shade in summer means a darker room in winter, and an open pergola is no help when the southerly comes through.
An opening louvre roof removes the trade-off. Open the louvres for sun and sky, angle them for light and breeze without the glare, and close them when the rain arrives. The Stratco Allure is the premium louvre roof in the Stratco range, and we design and install it across the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie.
As the Coast’s authorised Stratco and Stratco Outback dealer, with over a decade in business and more than 35 years of industry experience, we custom-design every roof for the home it belongs to. See our full range of Stratco pergolas on the Central Coast.
Three positions
Open, angled or closed.
You choose with the remote.
Open
Louvres open to let in the sun and the sky. The space feels like an open pergola, with light and warmth through the cooler months.
Best for: winter sun, mild days, evenings under the stars
Angled
Tilt the louvres to let light and breeze through while cutting the direct sun. You control the ventilation and the shade as the day moves.
Best for: summer lunches, airflow, cutting glare
Closed
Louvres close to a sleek, flat-ceiling look. Deep channels and internal gutters give excellent water management when the rain arrives.
Best for: wet weather, hot afternoons, year-round entertaining

Frequently asked
The questions everyone asks.
How much does a louvre roof pergola cost on the Central Coast?
Pricing depends on the size of the roof, whether it is attached or freestanding, and the features you add. An opening louvre roof is the premium option in the pergola range, so it costs more than an open-beam pergola. Interest-free finance is available, and every project starts with a free on-site consultation and a fixed-fee quote. Call 0494 571 131 to book in.
What is a louvre roof pergola?
It is a pergola with a roof of adjustable louvres (blades) instead of fixed sheeting or open beams. The louvres rotate open and closed, so one structure can give you open sky, filtered shade or cover from the rain. It is also called an opening roof or louvred roof.
How does the Stratco Allure open and close?
The Allure is a motorised louvre roof system operated by remote control. You open, angle or close the louvres to manage sunlight, ventilation and rain.
Does a louvre roof keep the rain out?
When closed, the louvres form a flat ceiling with deep channels and internal gutters designed for excellent water management. We’ll talk through how the roof performs in heavy coastal weather at your consultation.
Can a louvre roof be attached to the house or freestanding?
We design each louvre roof to suit the space, whether that is against the house, over a deck or as a freestanding structure by the pool. We’ll confirm the best layout for your home at the consultation.
Do I need council approval for a louvre roof pergola?
It depends on the size, placement and design. Some pergolas meet exempt development criteria under NSW state planning rules, while others require a formal application. We handle the approval process for you as part of our service.
How does a louvre roof compare with an insulated patio roof?
An insulated roof such as Stratco Cooldek is fixed. It gives full shade and rain cover all the time, and suits spaces you want fully sheltered. A louvre roof is adjustable, so you can let the sun in when you want it. If you are weighing them up, see our Stratco insulated patio roofing page or ask us to quote both.
Which areas do you service?
The entire Central Coast, including Tuggerah, Wyong, Gosford, Woy Woy, Bateau Bay and surrounding suburbs. We also service parts of Lake Macquarie.
